Maia Shelley Rakovic is a Scottish-Croatian artist, curator, and educator based in London.

My practice is rooted in painting and the art of the ‘ramble’. I approach rambling as both a methodological and philosophical framework, embracing the figure of the flâneur and non-linear, cyclical, and obscure art-artefacts. In my ramblings, I explore themes of narrative, gender, and identity.

Maia Shelley Rakovic achieved a Distinction in the Grad Dip at the Royal College of Art and holds an MFA in Arts & Humanities from the RCA. She is also the founder and lead curator of ANIMA/ projects.
